Back To Sleep In 5-Steps

Help!!!!!

We once had a great sleeper, but now… could you start and finish this sentence? IF so, this BLOG is for you!

I want to ensure that, if you have had a great sleeper, that you get back on track because… SLEEP IS IMPORTANT!

Step 1: Early Bedtime

Bedtime. What time are you attempting bedtime? Are they having short naps, early morning wakings and multiple night wakings and you are still attempting the same bedtime? IT will not work.

Bring bedtime up, 30-40 minutes earlier and allow them to make-up for that missed sleep.

Step 2: Bedtime Routine

Ensuring that you have downloaded my FREE bedtime routine guide and put those steps into place. Ensuring that there is an age appropriate routine, helps set the tone for the night.

Your 6-month old’s routine is different that your 2-year olds!

Remember bedtime routine’s are a cue to your little one’s brain that sleep is near. It allows the body to begin to prepare for sleep.

Step 3: Consistency is Key

If you take away anything from me, it’s that you NEED to be consistent in what you do. You cannot…CANNOT expect your little one to catch on to what you expect out of them, unless YOU the parent are consistent.

If you are going to set a timer then, you need to stick with that strategy. If you are going to feed to sleep, you need to understand, that is what they want with wake-ups.

Sticking to the strategy for 3-5 days when you are using timers, and 14-16 days if you are hands on.

Step 4: Reset

Need you to think here… how long has it been since you have been off track? If it has been more than 2 weeks… sleep needs may have changed.

  • Wake windows?

  • Need to drop bottles?

  • Change bedtime routine around?

Step 5: Support Call

If you have put these steps into place, repeatedly… it may be time to hop on a Support Call. This call will allow the sleep coach to learn more about the sleep needs, and will help the Sleep Coach support you in implementing new strategies!

If sleep just has never been a apart of your little one’s life, book your FREE call now, and let’s create a sleep plan, and get your little one sleeping 11-12 hours at night!
